Session Rides Sideways
When it comes to pushing, cruising, or standing….
The things Session rides are always expanding.
Session will pretty much try to ride anything.
A skateboard, a skimboard, even a spring.
He rides surfboards, skimboards, snowboards too….
Session will even ride things that go moo.
Sometimes he'll try to ride things that are quite crazy.
Like his pet alligator whose nickname is Daisy!
Session once rode a checkerboard, cutting board, diving board too.
It might sound bizarre but if it has “board” in its name it’s nothing new.
If you can stand on it sideways that’s always the best.
Unless he tries to ride it when it’s time to take a rest.
But even in his dreams, the riding doesn’t stop.
There was once a time that he even rode a mop.
But the problem with Session’s crazy obsession
Is that when he’s not riding, he drifts into depression.
He forgets how to walk,
He doesn’t want to talk.
He just mopes around and acts all down.
It’s hard to cheer him even if you’re a clown.
It’s so nice to spend time with those that you share common interests with. If you’re a skater or surfer, chances are you are drawn to other guys or girls that share that same passion. But what happens when you are confronted with someone that you don’t necessarily share everything in common with? You know, the kid that might be a little kooky, sits by himself at school, or doesn’t have a lot of friends. If you look at the world around you, chances are you’ll see many who are hurting, in need, or just lonely looking for someone to be their friend. Our hope is that through this story, we can encourage you to get out of your comfort zone a little bit and reach out to those that you have the opportunity to influence.
Be a friend to the kid without one. Because the reality is, we’re a little kooky in our own way!
- Mark Koch and Allan Wrath
I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.
